CYBERSECURITY PROJECT FOR INDUSTRY 4.0: CONATEC PRODUCT SECURITY IN ACCORDANCE WITH IEC 62443

CONATEC has successfully completed its cybersecurity project for Industry 4.0, marking a milestone in the protection of connected industrial processes. This effort, which was supported by the CDTI and co-financed by the ERDF, focused on developing innovative solutions that will enable its customers to face the challenges of connectivity with complete confidence and security, protecting the integrity of their processes and networks.

The project benefits sectors such as automotive, food, and recycling, and covers applications at both the national and international levels. These innovations enable Conatec to offer total protection in the management of sensitive industrial processes, comparable to the highest international standards.

The total budget for the project amounted to €748,000 and was supported by the CDTI, with €151,500 co-financed by the ERDF.

Achievements Obtained

Outstanding innovations: CONATEC achieved important advances in the field of industrial cybersecurity. Among the results obtained are:

  1. Cybersecurity Modular Hardware: a platform was designed that can be adapted to various industrial needs, guaranteeing security from conception.
  2. High-Capacity Software: a real-time operating system was developed that complies with the strictest cybersecurity standards.
  3. Rigorous Validation: exhaustive laboratory tests and field trials were carried out to confirm the effectiveness of the measures implemented.

Technological innovations

CONATEC has developed a new modular and scalable platform for Industry 4.0 process control, incorporating the criteria and software and hardware elements relating to the European cybersecurity standard UNE-EN IEC 62443-4-1:2019, with the support of the CDTI
